Rainbows and Brownies

St Cedma’s Rainbows and Brownies meet at 6.30 pm in the Victoria Hall, Curran Road, Larne on Friday evenings during school term time.

The “Rainbow” programme is based on the four principles:

We aim to follow this programme through a range of activities such as playing games, craft making, cooking, learning new things and of course, we hope all the girls have fun and make new friends along the way.

“Brownies” come after the Rainbows and before Guides.  Brownies are usually aged between 7 and 10.
What do Brownies do
Brownies have fun!  They take part in indoor and outdoor activities that challenge them to do their best!  Their meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities.  Everything a Brownie does is an adventure – it’s a world of excitement, new interests and friends.  Brownie Packs meet regularly, usually once a week during school terms.  There are often other opportunities for Brownies to take part in special activities and events throughout the year.  Many Brownie Packs go away on holiday, to camp or an overnight sleepover.  Brownies  also work towards badges – sometimes as a Pack, a six or individually.  There are badges to cover nearly every interest and activity and Brownies have a handbook which lists all the badges and what they entail.  These can also be found on the Girl Guiding Website.
The Brownie Promise
I promise that I will do my best:
To love my God,
To serve the Queen and my country,
To help other people
and to keep the Brownie Guide Law.
The Brownie Guide Law
A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself and does a Good Turn every day.
The Brownie Special Saying
Lend A Hand.
